Representative Sonnenberg, bill sponsor, presented Senate Bill 12-169, concerning the administration of county powers to maintain the landscape. This bill removes the $5,000 annual cap that a county can request from a property owner in reimbursement for control of a pest infestation or infection on private property. The bill also authorizes county pest inspectors to exercise the same powers granted counties to control noxious weeds, rodents and predatory animals.
