Representative Gardner commented about the discussions he has had with Senator Carroll about their differences on the bill, which are in the area of sequestration of witnesses in criminal trials. He offered the First Report of the First Conference Committee (Attachment A) for discussion purposes. Senator Giron commented that she does not support the passage of the language in the report. Senator Carroll thanked Representative Gardner for his willingness to compromise, but stated that the report does not quite alleviate her concerns. Senator S. King commented that the report represents a workable compromise.
