Representative Looper presented Representative Coram's bill concerning the Associate County Judge for Montrose County. Under current law, the associate judge for Montrose County must reside within the boundaries of the Southwestern Water Conservation District. This bill replaces the current residency requirement with a requirement that the associate judge for Montrose County maintain his or her official residence within Montrose County. This judge must also maintain court chambers in the City of Nucla. This bill replaces the current residency requirement with a requirement that the associate judge for Montrose County maintain his or her official residence within Montrose County.
