Representatives Kerr and Miklosi, bill sponsors, presented Senate Bill 11-269 concerning electronic waste recycling. The bill establishes the Electronic Recycling Act, under which the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) regulates processors, and enforces statutes governing collectors, of certain electronic waste.

Randy Moorman Colorado Environmental Coalition and Annmarie Jensen, Colorado Association of Recycling, spoke in support of the bill and discussed some of the electronic device recycling efforts in other states. They answered questions from the committee.
