Representative Roberts presented Senate Bill 10-082 which repeals term limits for governor-appointed commissioners to the Southern Ute Indian Tribe/State of Colorado Environmental Commission.

Doug Lempke, Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, spoke in support of the bill. Mr. Lempke described the Southern Ute Environmental Commission. He stated that the tribe is responsible for developing an air quality program for the reservation. He stated that the commission has six members, of which three are appointed by the governor and serve a three-year term.
