Representative Curry, prime sponsor of House Bill 10-1238, discussed the merits of the bill. The bill would permit the Department of Transportation (CDOT) to establish wildlife crossing zones on public highways in the state in which moving violation penalties and surcharges are doubled. Copies of Amendments L.001, L.006, and L.007 were provided to the committee members (Attachments A, B, and C).
