Representative J. Kerr, prime sponsor, presented House Bill 10-1118, concerning the regulation of distressed real property by a board of county commissioners. The committee heard testimony on House Bill 10-1118 on January 28, 2010. Representative J. Kerr talked about concerns with language in the introduced version of the bill and distributed L.002 (Attachment A).

Eric Butler, representing Jefferson County, addressed the committee to discuss the changes made under L.002 (Attachment A). He explained that the amendment clarifies when mortgage lending companies would take over foreclosed properties and notify the county with contact information.
