Representative McFadyen called the meeting to order. House Bill 10-1001 was laid over from February 4, 2010. Representative McFadyen announced that witness testimony would continue. Copies of Amendments L.010 and L.002 were provided to the committee. (Attachments A and B).

Ms. Donnah Moody, representing the Colorado Association of Commerce and Industry, testified regarding the bill. Ms. Moody responded to questions from committee members. Representative McFadyen commented on testimony received regarding the bill on February 4, 2010.

Mr. John Covert, representing the Colorado Harvesting Energy Network, testified regarding the bill. He stated that the bill may impact the development of larger energy production projects. Mr. Covert responded to questions from committee members.

Mr. Cox discussed examples of renewable energy companies and related job growth. Representative Merrifield and Representative McNulty discussed reports produced by the U.S. Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works.

Mr. Hayes responded to questions from committee members. Ms. Broderick discussed stakeholder groups that participated in the development of the bill.
