Representative Lambert, prime sponsor, presented House Concurrent Resolution 09-1004, concerning the declaration of a disaster emergency that substantially affects the ability of the state government to operate in the City and County of Denver, and, in connection therewith, requiring the General Assembly to meet and allowing the General Assembly to enact a statute to designate a temporary location for the seat of government. The committee discussed the resolution at its April 30th meeting. Representative Lambert provided a brief recap regarding the resolution, and addressed questions pertaining to the referendum process. Discussion ensued regarding the need for the resolution.
