Representative Casso called the committee to order. He distributed CLHB1338.001 (Attachment A) and explained that it changed one word in the bill. Representative Priola asked for clarification on what the word would change.

12:26 PM -- Ted Tow, representing the Colorado District Attorney's Council, responded to Representative Priola's question. He explained that the change would allow current practice regarding the use of DNA to continue. Mr. Tow said that without the change they could not place DNA into the database like they do now.
