The committee discussed the reason for setting the number of days at five in the rerevised bill for an issue committee to register with the appropriate elections officer after receiving a contribution. The committee discussed the merits of increasing this deadline to ten days, and the differences between actions taken in the Senate and House of Representatives on the bill. The committee then discussed the potential for setting the deadline at seven business days for municipal annexation issues.
