The committee was called to order. A quorum was present. Representative McNulty, prime sponsor, presented Senate Bill 09-065, concerning the audit requirements for the Public Safety Communications Trust Fund. Committee members received a hand-out from Representative McNulty explaining the bill (Attachment A). Representative McNulty explained his reasons for sponsoring the bill, and also explained the effect of the bill. Representative McNulty responded to a question regarding the reasons for altering the auditing schedule of the Public Safety Communications Trust Fund. Discussion ensued regarding inclusion of the trust fund audit with future audits of the digital trunked radio system.
