Representative McFadyen explained that House Bill 09-1152 was inadvertently referred to the House Committee on Transportation and Energy. However, House Bill 09-1152 is more suited for the House Committee on Agriculture, Livestock, and Natural Resources. Representative Sonnenberg, prime sponsor of House Bill 09-1152, stated that a referral would correctly send the bill to the committee intended by the Speaker. Representative Sonnenberg requested an affirmative vote to refer House Bill 09-1152, unamended, to the House Committee on Agriculture, Livestock, and Natural Resources where it will receive a fair and public hearing.
