Senator Mitchell, Chairman, called the meeting to order. The conference committee also met on May 5, 2008.

Brita Darling, representing the Office of Legislative Legal Services, commented on Senate Bill 08-183, concerning the effect of DNA evidence of nonparentage on child-related orders. She explained a proposed committee report to replace the report adopted by the committee on May 5, 2008. The proposed report adds conforming language to the provisions adopted by the conference committee at the May 5, 2008 meeting.

Representative Stafford commented on a child support case in which a person who was wrongly recorded as the father of a new-born child, was obligated to pay child support, and unable to have the entirety of the support obligation eliminated.
