MOTION: | Moved to add a separate section to the bill that requires law enforcement to make a reasonable effort to verify an offender's email address, requires the offender to sign a statement at the time of registration of one or more email addresses attesting that he or she understands that failure to register properly is a felony offense and false reporting of information is a misdemeanor offense, and stating that the signed statement counts as a reasonable effort by law enforcement to verify the address. Michael Dohr agreed to draft the report accordingly and Representative Kerr and Senator Sandoval agreed to ask for permission to go beyond the scope prior to signing the report and presenting it to their respective bodies.
